Christmas Cards Already?
Have you written your family Christmas letter, or printed a family Christmas photo yet? The Unity Missions Team encourages you to bring six copies of your family letter and/or photo to church on Sunday, November 11th. We will take some time during the service to prepare Christmas cards for our missionaries. The Missions Team has purchased generic cards for your use, but we know that personal family cards are much more meaningful, you can also bring a card to congratulate Erik & Ele on the birth, Lord willing, of their new baby. Please plan ahead for this special chance to encourage and support our missionaries.
State of the Denomination Discussion
Rev. Dykstra will also be featured at an informal gathering at 2 PM. He will share his vision for the CRC and comment on some of the issues facing the church today. He will also engage in discussion with those who have comments or questions. This meeting will take place in the Activity Center at the Evangelical Free Church.
CRC SESQUICENTENNIAL
Area Christian Reformed churches will gather once again on Sunday, November 11 to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Christian Reformed Church in North America. This final sesquicentennial service will take place at the Evangelical Free Church of Willmar, and will begin at 4 PM. The theme will be REDEDICATING (previous themes were REMEMBERING and REJOICING). Rev. Jerry Dykstra, Executive Director of the CRCNA, will be the guest speaker. A celebration of the Lord’s Supper will be part of the service. There will be a nursery, and also valet service will be provided. The offering will help defray the expenses of all our sesquicentennial events.
