Unity Church Announcements

Prayer Ministry

At the conclusion of our worship time each week people will be available to pray with you about any item of concern to you.

Baptism

This morning we celebrate God's grace and love being extended to Eliana Fischer, daughter of Tim & Londa, and Kaylee Dannen, daughter of Jason & Laura, and to their families through the sign and seal of baptism.  May this be a time of good news of great joy!

Building Project Update

Steady and sure! Things continue to move forward with our building project.  As you can see, the backfill work is done.  With a lingering delay in the steel arriving, the plumbers and electricians have started some of their work this past week and will continue this week with conduit and PVC work.  By mid-September it is hoped that steel and wood-framing will begin.  Let's continue to give thanks to God for the progress and safety for the workers. Let's also continue to lift up the contractors and the building expansion team in prayer as they oversee this work!  Thank you to everyone for your patience and prayers and support!

Remember in Prayer:

Jordan Zondervan had the staples removed from his leg this past week and is continuing therapy while attending Dordt.

Lois Cook was discharged this past Wednesday and is recovering at home from her back surgery.

Virgil Gerdes' pain continues to come and go.  He is scheduled for hip replacement surgery in mid-October.

Dave Ammerman had knee surgery this past week and is recovering at home.

Andi Rime and Heather Ruplinger's grandma has been diagnosed with viral meningitis. While treating, they also discovered cysts on the brain.  They are testing for cancer this week.

Bud Bonnema escaped major injury in a motorcycle accident in South Dakota this week.  He suffered road rash on his arms, legs, abdomen and face and is recovering at home.

Irene Bonnema suffered a heart attack this past week and was airlifted to St. Cloud.  She is responding well to medication and hoped to return home this weekend.

We extend our love and sympathy to Chad & Beth Hoekstra in the passing of Chad's uncle, Al Epima this past week.

Tony Negen continues wait for a kidney/liver transplant.

Please remember these brothers and sisters in Christ as well as others in our body who need your prayers and would be blessed by your acts of mercy and kindness.

CMCS High School Retreat

Parents and friends of CMCS are again planning a high school retreat at Camp Koronis, on September 19-21 and we could use your help.  Will you pray for the weekend?  Pray that God's Spirit may move in the lives of those attending this retreat.  We are also greatly in need of financial help so that we can keep the cost affordable to the students.  If you would be willing to help in this area, please send your donations to the CMCS high school, in Prinsburg.  Mark your check "Retreat Fund".  Your support is greatly appreciated!

Attention Ladies!

You are invited to MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers). MOPS is for all mothers with children from birth through kindergarten. Come see what's new!  MOPS is a great place to connect with other mothers.  Don't have any preschooler's in your home? Maybe you would still like to get involved with MOPS as a MOPPET worker. It's a  ministry with countless rewards! MOPS begins, Wednesday, September 10th, 9:00am at Bunde CRC. Childcare is subject to availability.  So be among the first to register. Call Becky.

MOPPET workers Needed!

The Bunde MOPS are in need of some more childcare workers in the MOPPETS program.  MOPS will kick off a new year THIS Wednesday, September 10 and will   continue to meet the 2nd and 4th Wednesday mornings of each month.  If you can help out only once in a while would you consider being a sub?  Please prayerfully consider if the Lord is calling you to serve in this wonderful ministry. Please contact Laura Brouwer or Danielle Watson if you are will to help.
