Welcome to Unity Church! We are eager to see what God has for us this day as we celebrate the beginning of a new year of activities. The message this morning will focus on Paul’s statements about the value of the Old Testament for our lives today. We will also have the instillation of our new Elders, Wilson Brouwer & Jeff Poppema, and our new Deacon, Wendell Bonnema. Tonight we will have a special dedicated time of prayer for Unity Church, our community, and the world around us.CRWRC - Hurricane Katrina: The Christian Reformed World Relief Committee (CRWRC) hopes to raise $5 million in aid for victims of Hurricane Katrina, which unleashed billions of dollars of destruction on Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and the Florida panhandle last Monday. The ambitious goal will help CRWRC continue to deploy rapid response teams, participate in clean up and repairs and purchase building materials. Donate today by calling 1-800-55-CRWRC or online at www.crwrc.org. Or mark your donations "Hurricanes 2005" and mail to: CRWRC, 2850 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49560.

MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES AT UNITY
Youth Group: Kick-off on Wednesday, September 14th. Grades 7-12 7:00 pm at the Rock on 8th (1804 8th St. S.W.) in Willmar. If anyone needs a ride please call Jill.
Unity Golf Night: Come for a night of Golf at Hawk Creek Country Club in Raymond on Saturday, September 17th. Enjoy a night of golfing with your friends from Unity. The first tee time will be at 3 pm. After the golf ends around 6-6:30pm we will meet back at the church for barbeques. So please bring a dessert, salad or something that goes with barbeques. There is a sign up sheet for both golfing and the barbeque potluck on the back table. We need to know the number attending by Wednesday, September 14th to set up all the tee times. If you are not interested in golfing you may just come to the barbeque. You may also contact Natalie Vander Beek if interested or have any questions.
CMCS High School Annual Retreat: Parents and Friends of CMCS are again planning a high school retreat at Lake Geneva Christian Center, on September 23-26 and we need your help. Will you pray for the weekend, that God’s Spirit may move in the lives of those attending this retreat? We are also greatly in need of financial help, so that we can keep the cost affordable to the students. If you would be willing to help in this area, please send your donations to the CMCS high school, in Prinsburg, marked “Retreat Fund”. Your support is greatly appreciated.
Ladies in Jail need to hear God's Word: For the past ten months, a team of ladies from our church has been leading Bible studies on Tuesday evenings with the female inmates at the Kandiyohi County Jail. It is a fascinating ministry, and one which strengthens the faith of the Bible study leaders, even as it encourages the incarcerated ladies. We are looking for substitute leaders to come in on days when we are ill, out of town, or on maternity leave! We always lead in teams, so you will be there as moral support, not leading the Bible Study. If you are willing to help, contact the church office or Pastor Wendy.
Women of Faith Conference: Call your friends, family, & co-workers to make plans to attend the October 21-22 Women of Faith Conference in St. Paul. Tickets are $45.00/person. This event is always sold out. Contact Angela Zwart TODAY for tickets.
