Pastor Jeff is preaching at Willmar Christian Reformed Church tonight and will be preaching and teaching at Faith Christian Reformed Church in New Brighton next week.

Open House Baby Shower
There will be an open house baby shower for Naomi Jayne Asake, infant daughter of Abasa & Carrie, on Sat., September 23, from 9:30am- 11:00am at Prinsburg First CRC Fellowship Hall. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Pastoral Support Meeting
The Pastoral Support Ministry Teams will be meeting immediately after the service in classroom #3 (next to the library).
David Poppema is enjoying hearing from his Unity family. He would like to continue to receive letters from us.
CMCS Annual High School Retreat
Parents and friends of CMCS are again planning a retreat for our high school students at Lake Geneva Christian Center, on September 22 - 24 and we need your help. Will you pray for the weekend, that God's Spirit may move in the lives of those attending this retreat? We are also greatly in need of financial help so we can keep the cost affordable to the students. If you would be willing to help in this area, please send your donations to the CMCS high school marked "retreat fund." Your support is appreciated!
Unity Church Ministry Opportunities
Ladies Bible Study
All ladies/girls who attend or are interested in attending a Tuesday morning Bible study are invited to Val Duininck’s home on Green Lake at 12138 Indian Beach Road, Spicer, on Tuesday, September 12 at 11:30am for a noon lunch. This year we plan to study the video series Daniel by Beth Moore. We will discuss meeting times and how we will make it possible if there is a need for childcare. Hope to see you there!
Attention Men of Unity
Are you interested in becoming the warrior God has created you to be? Come and discover what it means to be a real man made in God’s image. We will be using the book by John Eldredge, Wild at Heart: Discovering the Secret of a Man’s Soul. We will be meeting on Wednesday evenings at 7:00pm, at church for now. The first meeting will be Sept. 20. Materials will handed out at that time. Please contact Chad Hoekstra if you are interested, so we know how many to order. Thank you.
Worship Grant Project
Those of you who are interested in being a part of a ‘focus group’ for our study of worship space funded by the generous support of Lilly Endowment, Inc. are reminded that our first meeting is TODAY after church in the sanctuary. We will try to start about 15 minutes after church and spend about a half hour to introduce what we’ll be doing.
Nursery Sign-Up
Adults, Teens and kids 10 and older please take a few minutes to sign-up for the dates you are able to help out in the nursery for the months of September, October, and November. Your help is so greatly appreciated! Sign-up sheets are outside of the Church Wigglers Nursery next to the bathrooms. If there are any dates not filled we will have to fill them. Thank you so much for offering your time to be in the nursery.
Community Announcements
GEMS Fall Kick-Off
The Prinsburg GEMS have scheduled their Fall Kick-Off for Wednesday, September 13 at 6:30 p.m. If weather permits, they will begin with a scavenger hunt around town, followed by pizza and pop at the Fellowship Hall. Residents of Prinsburg: thank you for allowing the girls to stop by and ask for selected items on their lists. Thank you for your participation - the girls always enjoy this event and love stopping by to say hello!
GEMS Fundraiser
The GEMS will be selling Papa Murphy's pizzas for their fall fundraiser. Please take note of the order forms in your church mailboxes. Orders must be in by September 20. Plan ahead for some quick and easy meals and enjoy some delicious Papa Murphy's pizza!
Service Opportunity
WHAT: Mentors for Monday Night Friendship Class and someone to serve lunch
WHEN: Every other Monday night starting September 18, from 7-8pm.
REQUIREMENTS: A desire to share Jesus with a friend. Any age.

Cadet Counselors Needed

Prinsburg School Society Meeting
The annual fall meeting for all Prinsburg Society Members will be held on Monday, September 18, at 7:30pm in the High School Music Room. All new and returning families to CMCS are encouraged to attend. There will be an election of society officers, the financial report will be given, and we will have a discussion of past and future fundraising. Development Director Kevin Wassner, a board member, and an administrator will also make a presentation. If you would be willing to place your name on the nominating ballot for society office, please contact Don Hoekstra or Eric Van Dyken.
Annual “Celebration of Life“ Banquet
Ryan Dobson is coming to Willmar! He will be the featured speaker at the Hope Pregnancy Center annual “Celebration of Life” Banquet on September 21, 2006. Ryan is the son of Dr. James Dobson of Focus on the Family. Ryan speaks with relevance to the youth of our culture and their parents, teachers and pastors. The banquet will be held at the Holiday Inn Conference Center at 6:30pm. All are welcome, but remember to call to reserve a “place at the table.”

We will get together on Friday, September 22 at 11:30 for a potluck and games. We will be at the community center. Please bring the following:
