Scripture:  Matthew 5: 27-28; Hebrews 13: 4

Message:  The Gospel & Sex: The Seventh Commandment
 by Pastor Steve Zwart

Offering: Unity Ministries

Lead Worshiper: Jason Groen

Prayer Ministry: available to everyone at the conclusion of our worship service.

Welcome to Unity Church!

We are delighted that you have come here to worship the Lord. He has blessed us, led us, and provided for us. May we bless him this day with our praise, thanksgiving, and adoration.

This morning we will study the 7th commandment based on Matthew 5:27-28  and Hebrews 13:4. Adultery has many negative connotations: violation, mistrust, deceptive, undermining, unholy, brokenness.  God's command and the gospel's instruction to keep from adultery and the lustful eyes that lead down that road, carry one central theme: purity.  The holiness of God's people, expressed in purity, speaks centrally to the heart of every person as well as the heart of every marriage. May we hear again, with hearts wide open, God's invitation to holiness through purity for all of us: single or married, widowed or divorced, young and old.

Helping Hands Return to Mississippi!

Duane Bonnema is organizing a group of adult volunteers from area churches to lend a helping hand in Mississippi this fall.  This group will be leaving early on Saturday, November 15, and returning in the evening of Saturday, November 22, 2008.  While there, we plan to pour cement footings and a foundation for the Mount Buria Missionary Baptist Church's new building.  Their current church building is very old and is falling apart.  They have enough money to purchase the materials, and we are planning to come alongside these fellow believers to help them pour their floor.  We are welcoming additional volunteers at this time.  Please pray for us as we prepare to return to Mississippi.  If you have any questions or can help in any way, please contact Duane Bonnema or Andy Ypma.
