WELCOME TO UNITY CHURCH!

“Praise the LORD, all you nations; extol him, all you peoples for great is his love toward us, and the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever. Praise the LORD!” These words from Psalm 117 not only call us to worship God, but they remind us that all nations and all peoples are loved by God and he delights to give himself to us all.

Celebration of Communion

This morning we celebrate the Lord’s Supper. You are invited to join in the taking of the bread and the cup as a tangible reminder and spiritual act of receiving God’s gift of himself to us in his Son, Jesus Christ. If you believe in Jesus as your Savior and follow him as your Lord, no matter what your age or background, you are invited to celebrate with us this morning.

Pastor Steve at Synod

Pastor Steve is in Grand Rapids, Michigan, attending Synod (the bi-national gathering) of the Christian Reformed Church as one of the regional delegates. Synod runs from June 8-16. He will be returning on Sunday, June 17.

UNITY CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS

Solid Rock YG Mission Trip ’07 Team

All youth and adult leaders of the Utah mission trip this summer are asked/ urged/ required to come to a final training with Mel & Linda Stocks (brother and sister in Christ who were raised in the Mormon faith) on July 8 @ 3p.m. at the Rock. Please allow at least two hours for this final training where both Mel and Linda will be sharing and giving specific information for us as Christians about reaching out to, praying for, and interacting with Mormons. This information is crucial for your preparation as well as for understanding your own Christian faith and what we believe as compared to a different faith community. All parents of youth going to Utah are also encouraged to join us for this event so you too, can learn and stand with your son/daughter in this endeavor. Anyone else is welcome to attend as well. Parents and others from church who would like to attend please notify Kirk Vander Pol so that we can have enough materials there for everyone.

Youth Leader Position Discussion

Your feedback about Unity’s participation in creating a joint paid position for Youth Leader can be placed in the feedback box in the office or by posting or emailing online at www.unitycrc.org/youthleader.

Help "Capture a Cure!" Carwash & Jail-N-Bail
Saturday, June 16, 2007 from 9:00am - 12:30pm at First CRC

The Capture the Cure Jail-N-Bail involves a mock jail set up at our carwash on June 16th. To participate and help raise money for our Relay team simply contact one of our team members and for a $5.00 donation you can request the “arrest” of your boss, spouse, friend or co-worker. We will then “arrest” the unsuspecting participant by serving them with a warrant. They will then be whisked off to our “Jail” where their bail will be determined by our judge. The jailbirds will be required to make pledge calls to co-workers, friends and relatives to earn their bail. Arresting donations and bail pledges can be collected at a later date. We still need some volunteers at the carwash.
