Welcome to Unity!

Welcome to Church at the Lake! We are excited that you have joined us this morning for worship. We have gathered here today to truly experience an authentic encounter with God. No matter where you are on your journey with God, we invite you to participate in worship this morning as much or as little as you'd like.  We are glad you are here and we anticipate that God will bless you this day and that he will draw you into his presence.

You are invited to a Picnic Lunch of hotdogs, chips, potato salad, cookies, water & pop immediately after worship!

What does it mean to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ?: If today you have felt the tug of God on your heart... if you've sensed that something is missing in your life... then it's probably time you start looking to God for some answers.  He knows you inside and out - your hurts and your joys - and he wants to give you more than you can imagine.  But, as we all have to admit, we have done and continue to do things we know we shouldn't.  And because of that sin, we are separated from God, who is holy and just and cannot tolerate our apathy toward or distrust of him.  In fact, he has to punish us for it. Thankfully, God sent his one and only Son, Jesus Christ, to take the punishment we deserved on him self by dying on the cross.  He now invites us to enter into a relationship of love with him.  God's word says that to as many as receive Jesus, who believe in him, he will make them children of God and give them eternal life.  If this is you today, we invite you to talk with one of our pastors - or to simply pray to God that he would forgive your sins and grant you eternal life, and he would give you the desire and ability to commit your life wholeheartedly to him.

Unity Church Announcements

Today's Ministry Offering: SALT Team Outreach: We are a group of teenagers that call ourselves S.A.L.T. (Service And Learning Team).  We were recently birthed from the Solid Rock Youth Group in Willmar, Minnesota (a ministry of 3 churches from Willmar, Prinsburg, and Renville), and our goal is to serve others in our community.   We have done things such as:  raking leaves, cleaning construction sites, visiting the elderly at a nursing home, and volunteering at a school library.

Our current project involves helping a local organization called Lutheran Social Services (LSS). Specifically, we are helping with the Kandiyohi LSS youth program, which is dedicated to helping homeless youth between the ages of 16-21.  They work to educate the youth on basic living skills and help them find a home and a job.  For more information, please go to www.lssmn.org.

Today's offering goes to assist SALT's outreach efforts with LSS in helping the homeless youth of our area.

Solid Rock Youth Fundraiser: On July 11, Willmar Boiler, will be having a public auction. SRYG has been asked by the auctioneer to provide breakfast and lunch for the auction crowd.  We will be serving food all day at the Rock on 8th. A large crowd is anticipated to attend.

Here's what we need:

Baked goods-bars, brownies, cookies.

Hot dog and/or hamburger buns

Cans of Pop (Coke, Diet Coke, Mountain Dew and Sprite) and/or bottled water

Sign up sheets are available in the Fellowship Hall.

Students: We anticipate serving from 7:30 in the morning to about 4:30 in the afternoon so it would be great to get enough students to fill in 3-4 hour shifts. Let Kirk know when you can help out.

You will experience great music, inspiring speakers, and a wonderful time of fellowship with other Christians at this "retreat with a reason"! While enjoying all of this, you will be able to help provide bibles and study materials for our friends in Africa. Glenna Salsbury, and award winning speaker, will be our featured guest. You don't want to miss her!

A light supper will be provided from 5:30 - 5:50 p.m. If you would like to volunteer with the food please sign up on the sheets on the located at Unity CRC on the tables in the Fellowship Hall.

Its Bottle Time!: LIFE.... The most precious gift of all. And now you have the opportunity to make a difference in the life of an unborn child.

Please join us in supporting the work of Hope Pregnancy Center. By providing help to women in crisis pregnancies, we have found this to be true: When the woman who is considering abortion  visits Hope Pregnancy Center, the majority of the time she changes her mind and makes the decision to give life to her unborn child.

When you insert your check or fill this bottle with currency or coins, or Donate Online at hopepcwillmar.org you are helping to provide free limited obstetrical ultrasound services, counseling, baby supplies and a hand of friendship to a woman in need.

PLEASE.... Take a bottle from church next week and fill the bottle with your gift and we will be grateful... for life!

THEN... return the bottle to church by Sunday, August 2nd.
