Prayer Ministry
At the conclusion of our worship time each week people will be available to pray with you about any item of concern to you.
Council Minutes
In response to requests to do so and in an attempt to increase the council’s accountability to the body, council minutes will now be publicly available the week following a full council meeting. The meeting minutes from 07/07/08 are available in the media rack in the back of the fellowship hall. If you would like a copy and there are none available, please contact Christina Vander Pol, Clerk, for an additional copy
Pastor Steve’s Return to Full Time Ministry
The council would like to welcome Pastor Steve’s return to full time ministry. In addition to sharing preaching duties with Pastor Jeff, he will also be making calls to visit members during the week and engaging in Pastoral Care. If you would like to meet with him, feel free to call to set up an appointment time. Steve and Jeff have been meeting to make recommendations to the council regarding division of duties and responsibilities, and with the help of a Staff Hours Committee, will be coming up with a proposal in the coming months. Please continue to pray for the council, Pastor Steve and his family, as well as Pastor Jeff and his family, as we continue our work towards healing and restoration.
Baby Congratulations
Congratulations to Tim & Londa Fischer on the birth of a beautiful baby girl, Eliana Grace. She was born July 9th, weighing in at 7 lbs, 5oz and was 20 inches long.
Thanks
Much thanks to the many whose participation in Sunday’s service at the Lake made for a successful and joyful time of fellowship. Thanks to the music and sound team, to Pastor Jeff for his inspiring message, to those who helped with set up and take down, those who served the meal, those who were present to worship, and the family members who took care of the kids so others could serve! Please take a minute to give a special thanks to April and Trapper who went beyond their duty to coordinate the event and gather most of the food and supplies. Without them this event would not happen.
Summer Carnival
Keep your schedules open for a fun night on August 5th from 5:30pm - 8:00pm. The Summer Carnival at Willmar CRC is a free, family-oriented, carnival to reach out to the community as the body of Christ. This community outreach event requires a lot of time and volunteer work. If you would like to help out at the carnival, please contact Kirk Vander Pol ( kirkvanderpol@gmail.com ). If you are unable to help out, donations of cans of pop and bottled water are welcome. Please bring to church by August 3. Most importantly we need your prayers for the Carnival to be effective in reaching out to the kids in the community who may not know about Jesus!!
