Worship celebration

Our worship celebration is a great time to get together as the body of Christ!  Please use the time preceding the service to share conversation with one another in the fellowship hall and share your heart quietly with God in the sanctuary. 

Volunteers needed for planning worship

The Worship Planning Team is looking for ideas, suggestions, and a few to help plan a once-a-month evening worship celebration for the 3rd Sunday of the month.  If you are interested call the church office: 978-4300.

Our Prayers & Sympathy

We join with the churches of our Classis in expressing our sympathy to Connie Versluys, her family, and the CRC congregations of East Grand Forks and Crookston in the sudden passing of Rev. Bill Versluys this past Thursday.  He was 62.  Please remember these churches and this family in your prayers this week.

Praise & Thanksgiving

We give thanks to God for sparing Rev. Bob Pollema of Bunde CRC, who was in a one-car roll over last weekend.  He suffered some bumps and bruises but is up and around and carrying on ministry

Building Fund Reminder

Be sure to place your Building Fund gifts and/or pledges in the collection plate today. If you forgot, please mail your response and/or check to Unity Church Building Fund this week, or place it in Kevin Coverts mailbox. Extra copies of the commitment sheet are available on the table by the mailboxes. The need is URGENT as renovations are already underway.

Congregational Meeting Notes

At our Congregational Meeting last Sunday the proposal to reorganize the council was passed by the congregation. We will now have 6 Shepherding Elders (5 Elders & Pastor), 4 Service Deacons, and a 5 member Administrative Board (2 Elders, 2 Deacons, and the Administrator).

The Council has decided not to hire an Administrator to replace Pastor Jeff at this time. Instead Phil Erffmeyer has volunteered to fill the position of Acting Administrator and Wilson Brouwer has volunteered to work as Assistant to the Treasurer.

The Building Committee presented a list of items needed for renovating and   remodeling the present church building totaling $50,000. These expenses are not included in the funds for the new building.

ADVANCE NOTICE

Unity CRC was organized 25 years ago and so we need to celebrate. We would like to combine our 25th Anniversary Celebration with the Dedication of our New Building addition. We have selected the dates of August 28, 29 & 30 for this occasion. Be sure to mark your calendars. Hopefully this will give us time to get all the details of our building project (including landscaping) completed. Phil Erffmeyer is in the process of putting together a Celebration Team to plan this weekend of special events - if you would like to be a part of this team please call the church or send an email to Unity

Solid Rock Youth Group Fundraiser

The Solid Rock Youth Group will be selling coupon packets for the Herberger's Community Days Sale on Saturday, February 28. For just $5 you will receive one coupon for $10 off and 4 coupons each with a savings of 20% off. 100% of the packet sales benefit Solid Rock Youth. Please contact one of the students, call Kirk or go to Herbergers's if you would like to purchase a packet.

Sunday Night Live (SNL)

You are invited to join us every Sunday night, 7:30pm at the Rock on 8th in Willmar Located 1708 8th Street for SNL. Come to worship, pray, hear a short message and hang out with friends. SNL is a student led worship and a great opportunity to fellowship with other believers. "Kids" of all ages are welcome. Bring your friends.

Community Announcements

Pinewood Derby

The annual Prinsburg, Raymond, and Willmar (MN West) Cadet Clubs Pinewood Derby and barbeque supper will be held on Wednesday, February 4 at the CMCS high school gym. Please come for an evening of fun, food, and fellowship. The barbeque supper will be served from 5:00-7:00PM. A free will donation for the MN West Cadet Council will be taken. The races start at 7:00PM. Concessions will be served during the races. Everyone is welcome.

Emden CRC's Soup Supper

You are invited to Emden's Soup Supper on Wednesday, January 28th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. It will be a Free-will offering. The soup will be broccoli cheese, vegetable beef, chicken and rice or chili. We will also have crackers, bread, cheese, desserts and a beverage. Everyone is welcome to come.

Focus On Your Marriage Conference
