Building Project Update

Although slowed by the weather, progress continues to be made on our building project.  It is hoped that the wood decking on the auditorium roof will be completed this week making it possible to enclose the auditorium against the weather.  This will have a significant effect on continued progress.  It is anticipated that our volunteers will soon be able to start working in the present building on the planned changes and modifications.  When we started the project it was decided that work in the present building would be paid from the regular Building Fund rather than included in the financing of the new building.  The regular Building Fund has no funds after replacing the roof on the present building a year ago. An effort will be made to raise money for the materials needed by our volunteers.  Information will be given in the next few weeks regarding the schedule for volunteer work and the amount of money needed for materials.  The contractor still anticipates an April completion date for the building, subject to weather conditions.
