At the conclusion of our worship time each week people will be available to pray with you about any item of concern to you.

Worship celebration

Our worship celebration is a great time to get together as the body of Christ.  Please use the time preceding the service to share conversation with one another in the fellowship hall and share your heart quietly with God in the sanctuary. 

Volunteers needed for planning worship

The Worship Planning Team is looking for ideas, suggestions, and a few to help plan a once-a-month evening worship celebration for the 3rd Sunday of the month.  If you are interested call the church office: 978-4300.

We are updating our current email list at church and you are important to us If you could please take a couple of minutes the next time you are in your email and email Unity CRC  with your current email address that would be awesome. If you would rather write it down, please place it on April's desk in the office. Thank you so much for all of your help.

Unity Update

Do you have a Story to tell?  The Unity Update will be in your mailboxes Sunday, March 1st. We want to give the Unity Update a fresh new look for 2009. Please submit any birth announcements, engagement and wedding announcements. Grandparents if you have a new birth in the family please send your stuff in too.  Pictures are always welcome. If you are interested in writing an article for the newsletter we would love to encourage you to do that and share with everyone. Do you have a recipe to share? Send them our way. Please submit any of your information to the office by February 15th. You can email them to Unity CRC  If you have any questions please call April at 978-4300.

ADVANCE NOTICE

Unity CRC was organized 25 years ago and so we need to celebrate! We would like to combine our 25th Anniversary Celebration with the Dedication of our New Building addition. We have selected the dates of August 28-30 for this occasion. Be sure to mark your calendars. This will give us time to get all the details of our building project including landscaping completed. Phil Erffmeyer is in the process of putting together a Celebration Team to plan this weekend of special events - if you would like to be a part of this team please call the church or send an email to Unity CRC

BUILDING TEAM REPORT

Progress continues on the building project. The auditorium roof has now been shingled, framing in other interior areas continues, and concrete has been poured on the flat floor surfaces in the auditorium. Hopefully in two weeks the frost will be out of the sloped floor area and the soil will dry so that the rest of the floor can be poured. When the floor is completed the pew company will come and take measurements and begin constructing the pews which will take a minimum of 3 months. There is still opportunity to lend money to the church for our building project at 6% interest. If you have a desire to do this please contact Mike Mulder.

Reminder

We received only 13 responses back for our drive for funds to do remodeling and renovations in our present building.  Please return your sheets as soon as possible as we need funds to cover the volunteer projects which are already underway.

Solid Rock Youth Group Fundraiser

The Solid Rock Youth Group will be selling coupon packets for the Herberger's Community Days Sale on Saturday, February 28. For just $5 you will receive one coupon for $10 off and 4 coupons each with a savings of 20% off. 100% of the packet sales benefit Solid Rock Youth. Please contact one of the students, Kirk or go to Herbergers web site if you would like to purchase a packet.

Sunday Night Live (SNL)

You are invited to join us every Sunday night, 7:30pm at the Rock on 8th in Willmar Located 1708 8th Street for SNL. Come to worship, pray, hear a short message and hang out with friends. SNL is a student led worship and a great opportunity to fellowship with other believers. "Kids" of all ages are welcome. Bring your friends.

Open House Baby Shower

You are invited to an Open House baby shower for Sophia Mae Slagter, infant daughter of Ross and Rebecca Slagter on Saturday, February 7th from 9:30am - 11:00am at the First Church Fellowship Hall. They are registered at Target and Babies-R-Us. Everyone is welcome

Pinewood Derby

The annual Prinsburg, Raymond, and Willmar (MN West) Cadet Clubs Pinewood Derby and barbeque supper will be held on Wednesday, February 4 at the CMCS high school gym. Please come for an evening of fun, food, and fellowship. The barbeque supper will be served from 5:00-7:00PM. A free will donation for the MN West Cadet Council will be taken. The races start at 7:00PM. Concessions will be served during the races. Everyone is welcome.

Focus On Your Marriage Conference

Plan to attend a high quality simulcast event endorsed by Focus on the Family at Bunde CRC on Saturday, February 28 from 8:30 am-3:30 pm.  This conference will help you see your marriage through the eyes of God, deepening your feelings for your partner and improving your communication in day-to-day life.  Speakers include:  Beth Moore, Gary Smalley, Dr. Del Tackett, and John Trent with music by Jeremy Camp.  A nice dinner will be included in your ticket price of $60.00 per couple.  Contact Kay Hillers to register at this price by Jan. 31.  Scholarships are available.

Willmar Area Faith at Work Presents Marketplace Chaplains

Join us at the Kandi Entertainment Center on Thursday, February 19th at Noon. Food will begin at 11:45am.
