UNITY FAMILY CARES AND CONCERNS

Open House Baby Shower You are invited to an open house baby shower for Peyton Scott Meyer, infant son of Brandon and Heidi on Sat., February 25th from 9am to 11am, at Unity.

Call Extended
Last Sunday the congregation voted by a strong majority (84-12) to create a second full-time staff position at Unity and to call Pastor Jeff Fisher to that position. A call letter was issued to Jeff this week and he will give his response at the Council Meeting on Feb. 27th.

Prison Ministry Training
The next training sessions for prison ministry will be held on Tues., March 14 and Sat., May 6. There will also be a training session on Tues., April 4 at Vinje Lutheran Church in Willmar.

COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENTS

CMCS Mission Trip Fundraiser A group of juniors and seniors from CMCS are making plans for their mission trip to the Urban School of Evangelism in Hollywood, California April 8-17. The students who are going are raising support for the trip by selling Butter Braids. To support this trip, you may place your orders with Josh Layman, Brandon Marcus, David Poppema, or Tara Frikke by Tues., February 21 for delivery after March 1. Thank you for your support and please remember these young people in your prayers.

Methamphetamine Awareness
Harrlan Madsen, a Kandiyohi Co. Commissioner, dairy farmer, and a student of the meth epidemic will present at Roseland Reformed Church on Wed., February 22, at 7:00pm. The presentation will include many pictures and will give key information to understand, combat, and assist vulnerable people. This presentation is aimed at youth, but anyone interested is cordially invited.

Cadet Fun Night
Join us Wed., February 22, at 6:30pm in the CMCS Elementary School Gym at 6:30pm. All cadets and fathers are invited.

Open House Baby Shower
You are invited to a baby shower for Hanna Lynn Storey, daughter of
Erica (Marcus) and Daren Storey at the Assembly of God Church on February 25 from 2-4pm in the Fireside Room.

Annual Youth For Christ Banquet - Saturday, March 4 at 6:00pm
Join us for a great night of fellowship and hearing about the YFC Ministry at the Willmar Holiday Inn/Conference Center! The speaker will be Dan Wolgemuth, the National President of Youth For Christ. There is no charge, but you must RSVP to 320-235-0119 or by email to bob@yfcminnesota.com.

Calvin College Capella Concert - Friday Evening, March 24
Housing will be needed for the 40+ members of this group performing at First CRC in March. They will also need breakfast and a sack lunch on Saturday. Please consider hosting 2-3 Calvin students on Friday night. A sign-up sheet will be available at a later date.

Lake Geneva Christian Reformed Family Conference
Mark your calendars now and PLAN TO ATTEND the Lake Geneva Christian Reformed Family Conference to be held at Alexandria, Minnesota on August 7–10, 2006. Join with us as we celebrate our twenty-third year of conferences. Rev. Roger Kok from Grand Rapids, MI and Rev. Calvin Hoogendoorn from Sioux Falls, SD will be this year’s keynote speakers. A concert is scheduled for Wednesday evening. There will be activities for children, preschool through high school age. Watch for a registration announcement in your bulletin at a later date.
