Out of Office Notice
Pastor Steve and Pastor Jeff will be  in the Twin Cities on Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday at a Classis meeting to help determine how best to structure the work and ministry of our classis.

Visit Those in Prison - There will be a "Volunteer Training" session at Unity CRC TOMORROW at 6 PM hosted by the St. Cloud Penitentiary. Three hours of training will allow you to participate in leading the occasional chapel service at the St. Cloud Prison. You must be 18 or older without a criminal background to qualify for training.  Childcare will be provided during the training. 

Thank You Unity Church!  Because of the incredibly generous support of your church we were able to purchase a full set dining room table, benches, and chairs for BOTH the Home of Hope and Stella's House in Moldova!  Also, thank you to all the individuals purchasing items separately for the homes - it makes such a difference!  Thank you for keeping these precious young women of Moldova in your prayers!" GEMS is Turning 50! This year marks the 50th anniversary of the GEMS ministry. Any woman who has ever been a counselor or a GEM/Calvinette is invited to attend the Leadership Conference to be held at Ridgecrest Conference Center, Ridgecrest, North Carolina July 25-27, 2008.  If you are interested, please contact Barb Ahrenholz for registration information.

Open House Baby Shower for John Roger Van Stelten, infant son of Corey and Renae (Post) Van Stelten Friday, February 22 from 7-9 p.m. At Roger and Lorna Post's home in Clara City (95 5th St NW). Every one is invited to come.

Bowling & Pizza Night - Saturday, February 16th at 5:00pm. Make it a Valentine's date: take your sweetheart and your kids out for a night of bowling and pizza. We will be meeting at 5:00pm at the Olivia Bowling Alley where you can bowl free for one hour. At approximately 6:00pm we will move the fun to the Pizza Ranch. The pizza buffet costs $8.25 for each adult; children’s prices are based on their age. We need about 30 people (adults and kids) to sign up for this night of family fun. The bowling is on us, the fun is up to you!

Palm Sunday, March 16 - Pastor Paul Mpindi from Back to God Hour Ministries will be presenting the message. A potluck will be held after the service for all members and visitors. We hope you will join us for lunch and greet Pastor Mpindi.

Community Announcements

Hymn Sing
Emden Christian Reformed Church in Renville is hosting a Hymn Sing on Sunday, March 30 at 6:00 PM. This service of music will include many of the “Old time favorites” that we still continue to enjoy. Gar Jasper and Paul Knapper will lead the singing and provide special music.

CMCS Mission Trip Fundraiser
A group of 26 Juniors and Seniors  from Central Minnesota Christian School in Prinsburg is making plans for their March 17-24 Mission Trip to California. These students have begun fundraising and are now selling PASTRY PUFFINS, a puff pastry filled with fruit, made by the Butter Braid Company. These flaky, light puffs have hundreds of alternating thin layers of butter and pastry and are filled with your choice of six scrumptious fillings. These are   convenient because you can take them out of your freezer and put them into the oven without having to let them rise, and you can take the amount you need and save the rest until you crave more.  There are 12 in a package and the cost is $9.50. Please place your order with the following students by February 19 for delivery after February 27: Kaitlyn Leininger, Jake Miller, Jason Groen, Rachelle Poppema, or Cassie Ulferts. We would also appreciate any sample sized toiletries that you might have, such as shampoo, conditioner, lotions, floss, combs, toothpaste and toothbrushes, soaps, shower caps, band aids, or any other small items that we can pack into a baggie and hand out to those we witness to. These items can be brought to the High school office or given to a student.  Thank you for your support of the CMCS Mission Trip!

Women of Faith 2008 “Infinite Grace”

Would you like to go to Women of faith? You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll want to take notes – so bring tissues and something to write with.  It is a great way to get away with your friends, family or both. Tickets are $65.00 per person. Dates this year are Friday & Saturday October 17th & 18th.  If you are interested in reserving your ticket or have other questions contact April Swierenga. Come and join in on the fun.  **Men, what a great Valentine's gift, birthday gift, or "just because" gift for your wife or girlfriend.

Cadets Annual Pinewood Derby
The annual MN West (Prinsburg, Raymond, and Willmar Cadet Clubs) Pinewood Derby and barbeque supper will be held on Wednesday, February 20 at the CMCS high school gym. Please come for an evening of fun, food, and fellowship. The barbeque supper will be served from 5:00-7:00PM. A free will donation for the MN West Cadet Council will be taken. The races start at 7:00PM sharp! Concessions will be served during the races. Everyone is welcome!
