Welcome to Unity Church!

God’s peace to you today. We gather together this day to worship the One who has created all things, sustains all things, and promises to restore all things. May we experience a sense of his promised peace even in the midst of life’s difficulties and chaos.

New Director of Children and Youth

Last Sunday at Willmar CRC, Kirk Vander Pol was commissioned as the Director of Children and Youth. Several households at Unity Church are helping to fund this position since it was created to be the primary leadership for our combined Solid Rock Youth Group with Willmar.  We give thanks to God for his provision to Willmar CRC and Unity CRC for our ministry among the youth.

Ideas for Worship?

Nearly every Monday afternoon, the Worship Planning Team meets to plan and evaluate our worship services. If you have any suggestions or ideas for how we can promote an authentic encounter with God through our times of corporate worship, we would be glad to hear them.  Your ideas, concerns, and suggestions are very helpful for our work.  You may contact any of the members of the team:  Tom Bruin, Lee Duininck, Lois Cook, Kerry Breems, and our Pastors.

Communication Forums at Unity

Over the next few months we will be holding communication forums for you to receive updates and ask your questions about the building project, the General Fund, and the recent repairs to our existing facility. The first forum will be NEXT Sunday, December 23rd. We will then offer the next forums on January 6th, January 20th, and February 10th, with future forums also coming in March, April, and May. These forums will start (as close as we can get to) immediately after church on those Sundays. You are strongly encouraged to participate in all of the forums, since there will be new information coming along the way.

Pledge Form Reminder

Please return the pledge forms that you received in the mail by December 30th  to Joe Ulferts’ church box.  Even if you do not plan to pledge anything, we would still like to have all the forms back by the end of the year.  If you have questions, please contact Joe or Roger Ulferts at the contact information provided in the letter you received.

Gospel Class Resumes in January

There is no Gospel Class on Thursdays or Sundays until January 10th and 13th when we will begin a 6-week study of the basics of Reformed Theology.

Doug Ledeboer Benefit Fund

A benefit fund has been set up for Doug Ledeboer at PrinsBank to help cover costs that will arise due to him having to stay in the cities for many weeks after his kidney transplant surgery. There will be a donation box on the lunch table after the Christmas program. If you would like to make a donation please make your checks out to “First CRC” and in the memo write % Doug Ledeboer
