Special Offering This Morning: The offering this morning is designated for the purchase of a new auditorium cross.  There are various spots built into the stage floor for the placement of a cross.   We feel that this gift would be a fitting way to remember this special weekend.

Open House Bridal Shower: Saturday, September 5th at 10:00am honoring Ashley Marcus bride-elect of Kyle Mic. The shower will be here at Unity Church.

Bob's Building: The date for the Wisconsin trip to help Bob Dykstra is set for the afternoon of September 24 to the 27th. Contact Chad Hoekstra if interested in going.

Worship In The Storm: Bethany Reformed Church would like to invite Unity CRC to an evening entitled, "Worship in the Storm."   The event will take place on Wednesday, September 9 at 7:30pm. There will be praise and prayer led by a team from Bethany and a team from Unity.  The evening will include testimonials from people who are willing to share their storms and how God has brought them through these storms.  Throughout the evening, there will also be Ministries of Music by local musicians.  Personally speaking, God blessed me through you as a congregation, in the midst of my storm.  Please accept this personal invitation for what promises to be a very special evening worshipping together.  Pam Knapper, Music & Worship Leader, Bethany Reformed.

Thank you: Thank-you to all who participated in the Combined Disability Awareness service last Sunday evening. The offering for the evening totaled $1,382 for Friendship Ministries. Our Friendship Kick-off Banquet will be Tuesday evening. We do covet your prayers for this coming year! We appreciate your prayer and financial support! In Christ Service, Friendship Board Members: Gretjen Wubben, Ruby Graves, Clara DeRonde, Sallie Green, Sandy Moorlag , Helene Dykstra

Unity Church Announcements

Anniversary/Dedication Booklets: A copy of the Anniversary/Dedication booklet was placed in the mailbox of each of our members.  There are copies available for our guests this weekend on the table in the fellowship area. If there are extra copies after this weekend, members are welcome to contact the office to pick up additional copies. We apologize for any errors or omissions. Please let the church office know if you find any.

Open House: Our church facilities will be open for viewing this afternoon from 2:00-5:00 p.m.  Invite your friends and relatives to see our new addition, listen to some piano music, and enjoy refreshments.

Join the Brohaugh's Next Sunday Morning: There are at least two good reasons to come to church next Sunday morning at 9:00 to see and hear Erik and Ele.

1.) You will be blessed. It is a joy to listen to this couple tell about what Gods is doing through them. It is a blast to hear their rich stories!

2.) Erik and Ele will be blessed to see that we actively support and are genuinely interested in their work.

We are also still looking for individuals, families or small groups that would like to meet with the Brohaughs on Friday or Saturday

GEMS: Local GEMS Club Coordinators and Counselors will gather at Willmar CRC on Wednesday evening for an ACTS (Area Counselor Training & Support) Fall Workshop. *** New and returning GEMS Counselors: REMINDER - we will begin with dinner at 6:00 PM and conclude by 9:00 PM. If you haven't already signed up, please contact your Club Coordinator for more details!

CMCS Retreat: The 15th year of the high school retreat is here!  Camp Koronis, near Payensville, September 18-20. We need your help!  Will you pray for this weekend?  Would you be willing to donate baked goods or snacks?  Please drop them off at the high school office September 17or 18.  We greatly need financial support to keep the cost affordable for the students! Contact CMCS if you are able to help.

Canoe Trip anyone? : Consider joining Erik and Ele for a canoe trip down the Minnesota River this  Saturday,  September 5. This will be a great way to spend a little time with them in a fun and relaxing setting. We will leave around 10:00 am and return mid-afternoon. This will include a light lunch on a sand bar. We are especially interested in having some young people included in this outing. Contact Marly ASAP if you are interested in joining or if you have a canoe we can borrow.

Breakfast with the Brohaughs : You are invited to come to church a bit early for fruit and breakfast rolls on Sunday, September 6.  You will have a chance to listen to Erik & Ele speak about their experiences.  The food will be ready at 8:30am, the presentation will start around 8:45.  Come and join as you are able.

Missions Prayer Time: You are invited to join the Missions & Outreach Team for a time of prayer for our missionaries at 9:00am next week (and the first Sunday of each month).
