Morning Worship

Scripture Reading: Jonah 1:1-15 (Scripture Reader: Larry Groen)
Message: Intimacy with God (Tom Flaherty)
Offering: Unity Ministries
Lead Worshiper: Bryan DeGroot

Welcome to Unity!
We are delighted that you have joined us for worship. We gather together for the one purpose of worshipping Jesus Christ, the living God and Savior of the world. Our desire is that you would be blessed by God’s presence and the fellowship of God’s people.

A very special welcome to Pastor Tom Flaherty from Community Bible Church in Montevideo. Today Pastor Steve is exchanging pulpits with Tom.

Pastor Steve and family will be gone on vacation this week. He will be back to preach next Sunday.

Please be in prayer for the team from our church leading a worship service at St. Cloud Penitentiary this morning. Pastor Jeff is preaching, Pam Knapper is playing the piano, Willis Wubben is song leader and Sarah Brouwer is Scripture reader. Please ask them about this remarkable experience when you see them.

  • We are here to provide emotional and prayer support for our missionaries.

  • We are here to better educate our congregation regarding Unity missionaries

  • We organize local outreach

Community Announcements

Garden Open House
Join us at Bill Dykstra’s any Friday and Saturday thru August, 10:00am until dark. If you have a group that would like a tea party in the garden during the week, give a call to 978-8622. FREE WILL DONATION will go towards a SENSORY ROOM FOR CALEB ROORDA. Caleb's autism makes him highly sensory defensive. This means that all of his senses are "wired" differently than the average child. Sounds, light, touch & movement can be very over-stimulating. With sensory integration he's able to focus much better and does much less hand flapping, pacing and other behaviors common to autistic children. Sensory equipment is typically quite expensive and we're raising money to purchase much needed equipment.

James House 2nd Annual Golf Tournament
Join us August 25, 2006 for a Four Person Scramble at Eagle Creek Golf Club. Tee off is at 1:00pm. The cost is $80.00 each which includes golf, dinner, and contribution to a wonderful and much-needed ministry to those who desire to get their lives back on track. For more information about the tournament, please see the bulletin board in the Fellowship Hall.

Region Wide Freedom & Healing Meeting
All are welcome at this meeting on Sunday, August 27, at 7:00pm with Pastor Dan Hammer from Sonrise Chapel, in Everett, WA. The meeting will be held at the Fine Arts Center (3rd St. & Eureka Ave) in Montevideo, MN. There is no charge to participate.
