Wisconsin Mission Trip

Attention: are you interested in a short service oriented mission trip?  A group is being organized to go and help Bob Dykstra at the Lac Courte Oreilles reservation in Wisconsin.  We would leave Thursday, September 18 and return Sunday, September 21. There are a number of projects to be done, from wood cutting to construction, and also possibly an opportunity to help Bob out with ministry in the evenings. If you are interested or would like more information please contact Chad Hoekstra.

Thank you!

I would like to thank all those who encouraged Karen and me with your prayers, cards, phone calls, and emails the last couple weeks.  Candidates are SERIOUSLY screened to make sure they are healthy enough to receive donated organs.  I am now officially on the liver and kidney transplant list.  It is humbling to know that to get BOTH a liver and kidney, in most cases, means that someone has lost their life in some accident or illness and their family has graciously made the decision to donate organs so that others may live.  Please pray with me that these families may experience the peace of God in their decisions and receive comfort and strength through their sacrifice. I feel truly Blessed!!  Tony Negen

Sunday School

The Council requests that you keep our upcoming Fall programs in your prayers as many preparations are already underway with the Fall Kick-Off planned for September 14, 2008.  We are still in need of several Sunday School teachers, and ask that you pray for this important area specifically.  One option for teaching that would allow some flexibility within a committed time period, is team-teaching, either with someone of your choice or with someone assigned.  If teaching is a place where you feel called and gifted to serve, then we encourage members of all ages to please contact Tracy Borstad, Sunday School Superintendent.

SRYG Kick Off!

Solid Rock youth group kick off will be Wednesday evening, August 20th at the Brad Link farm with a 6p.m. start time. This school year's 7-12 grade students are invited!
