The minutes from the August 04, 2008 council meeting are now in the media rack in the fellowship hall.  If you would like a copy and all have been taken, please contact Christina Vander Pol for an additional copy.

Wisconsin Mission Trip

Attention: are you interested in a short service oriented mission trip?  A group is being organized to go and help Bob Dykstra at the Lac Courte Oreilles reservation in Wisconsin.  We would leave Thursday, September 18 and return Sunday, September 21. There are a number of projects to be done, from wood cutting to construction, and also possibly an opportunity to help Bob out with ministry in the evenings. If you are interested or would like more information please contact Chad Hoekstra.

Angel Food

This is the last week for August Angel Food Orders.  Please come to the back table in the fellowship Hall after church today to sign up if you are still interested in an August order.

Sunday School

The Council requests that you keep our upcoming Fall programs in your prayers as many preparations are already underway with the Fall Kick-Off planned for September 14, 2008.  We are still in need of several Sunday School teachers, and ask that you pray for this important area specifically.  One option for teaching that would allow some flexibility within a committed time period, is team-teaching, either with someone of your choice or with someone assigned.  If teaching is a place where you feel called and gifted to serve, then we encourage members of all ages to please contact Tracy Borstad, Sunday School Superintendent.

THANK YOU!

A huge THANK YOU to all for making the outreach carnival a success this past Tuesday evening!  Many Bibles--especially children's--were given out to families and more will be sent out as we ran out.  The Word of God will now be going into households where it wasn't prior to the carnival!  Now follow-up will begin and we hope relationships can be nurtured and God's kingdom will grow.  Thank you to all whether you played a small role or large, the Body of Christ worked well together as an example to the world--praise God!

SRYG Kick Off!

Solid Rock Youth Group kick off will be Wednesday evening, August 20th at the Brad Link farm 6:00 p.m. start time.  Next year's 7-12 grade students are invited!

MOPS Childcare workers needed!

Do you enjoy playing with kids? Do you enjoy rocking babies? The Bunde MOPS are in need of some more childcare workers in the MOPPETS program. MOPS will kick off a new year in September and is the 2nd and 4th Wednesday mornings of each month. If you could not help out each time would you consider being a sub?  Please prayerfully consider if the Lord is calling you to serve in this wonderful ministry. Please contact Laura Brouwer or Danielle Watson if you are interested in helping.

Recycle Your Bible

Is it time to clean out a closet or straighten up a shelf?  Might you find a valuable copy of God's Word collecting dust? There are thousands of spiritually hungry people in our world who are desperately awaiting their first Bible. The Bible League will help you put your old or extra Bibles back to work by placing them in English-speaking areas of Africa and in the Philippines. Please place your extra Bibles in the collection box located under the mailboxes. We will be running this program from now until August 31st. If you have any questions, feel free to call Sandy Wubben.
