UNITY Announcements

Communion in April

We will be celebrating Communion on April 20 instead of April 13. The music team Fast Forward will help lead us in worship on the 13th.

Solid Rock Youth

Solid Rock Youth will help lead the service at Willmar CRC this evening and give  a report on the CMCS mission trip.  The service will be geared to the youth with a mission focus and include a time of praise and prayer.

Pastor Jeff

Pastor Jeff will be out of the office and unavailable from April 4-13.

Parents of Juniors and Seniors of Solid Rock

There is a Jr/Sr guys retreat scheduled for April 11-13 and the Jr./Sr. gals retreat date is still to be scheduled. 

Children's Church Teachers

We are looking for more people who are willing to teach Children's Church during the worship service.  If you don't feel comfortable teaching alone, you can also team teach.  If you are interested in this wonderful opportunity, please call Tracy Borstad.

Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner?

“Guess who’s coming to dinner” is Sunday, April 27. There are sign up sheets in your church mailboxes. Please return your sign up sheet by Sunday, April 13th.

Papercrafting Retreat at Unity CRC

All scrapbookers, card makers, and   papercrafters are invited for a one day “Retreat” at Unity on Saturday April 26th, 2008 from 8:00 AM until 8:00 PM.  There will be a Cricut and other papercrafting tools on hand to be shared.  (Anyone wishing to use the Cricut will be asked to purchase their own mat). This event is open to the community, so invite a friend for a day of fellowship and fun!  The cost for the day will be $10.00 per person including a catered lunch or $2.00 per person without lunch.  Everyone is invited to bring a snack to share. GEMS Ladies Tea

The ladies tea is coming soon!  Mark your calendars for Wednesday, April 9 at 3:30 pm and join us in the First CRC basement.

CMCS Spring Play "Headin' For A Weddin'"

Performances are Friday, April 18, at 7:00pm and Saturday, April 19 at 1:30pm and 7:00pm in the CMCS high school gym.   Advance tickets are available at the high school office. Tickets are $6.00 for adults, $4.00 for K-12 students with preschool and younger free. 

Music Recital

On Sunday, April 20, at 7:30 p.m., Paul, Daniel, and Pam Knapper will present a recital consisting of vocal, piano, and violin music at the Emden Christian Reformed Church in Renville. Proceeds will benefit the piano fund.

Senior Citizens and Others

On Saturday, May 3rd we hope to go to the Gospel Quartet Convention in Minneapolis. The cost would be approximately $35.00 per person which includes the bus and the ticket. 

On Saturday, May 10th. we plan to attend  “Church Basement Ladies - Second Helping” the sequel to “Church Basement Ladies”. The cost is approximately $64.00 per person for the bus, play and dinner at the Old Country Buffet. Call Ardy As Soon As Possible!

Cancer Survivor Reunion

All cancer survivors in Kandiyohi County are invited to attend a reunion at the Willmar American Legion on Tuesday, April 22. The event will begin at 5:30pm and include dinner and entertainment. If you are a cancer survivor, please consider this a personal invitation to attend. If you have a friend or family member who is a survivor, please invite them to attend with you. Dinner is free for survivors and $10.00 for guests. RSVP by April 12th to Sandy Seydel.

Relay for Life 2008

The 15th Annual Kandiyohi County Relay for Life event will be held at the Willmar Jr. High track on July 25 & 26, 2008. Relay for Life is an event designed to celebrate cancer survivors, remember those whose lives have been lost to this disease, and raise money for research and programs offered through the American Cancer Society.  If you would like information about being on a team contact Vicki Dew.

CMCS Annual Spring Meeting

Central Minnesota Christian School of Prinsburg is holding their Annual Spring meeting on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 in the high school gym at 7:30 pm.  The CMCS Parents' Club will meet at 7:00 pm in the high school music room.
