Communion in April

We will be celebrating Communion on April 20.

 

Children's Church Teachers

We are looking for more people who are willing to teach Children's Church during the worship service.  If you don't feel comfortable teaching alone, you can also team teach.  If you are interested in this wonderful opportunity, please call Tracy Borstad.

 

Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner?

Please return your sign up sheet  TODAY, Sunday, April 13th, the Dinner will be on Sunday, April 27th.  For those of you that are interested but do not have a mailbox there are sign up sheets on the bulletin board in the fellowship area. Everyone is invited to join in on the fun!

 

Papercrafting Retreat at Unity CRC

All scrapbookers, card makers, and   papercrafters are invited for a one day “Retreat” at Unity on Saturday, April 26th, from 8:00 AM until 8:00 PM.  There will be a Cricut and other papercrafting tools on hand to be shared.  (Anyone wishing to use the Cricut will be asked to purchase their own mat). This event is open to the community, so invite a friend for a day of fellowship and fun!  The cost for the day will be $10.00 per person including a catered lunch or $2.00 per person without lunch.  Everyone is invited to bring a snack to share. Solid Rock Youth Ministries

SRYG will be hosting a free-will donation spaghetti supper in Prinsburg on Wednesday evening May 14th!  There will also be a silent auction for youth labor/services.

 

SRYG ~ Girls Retreat

Solid Rock Junior & Senior high school girls and their parents—please note that an overnight retreat is planned for you Friday evening May 16 through Saturday, May 17th.

 

 

 

 

Community Announcements

 

Friendship Class

Friendship Class is Monday, April 14th, 7pm at the Willmar CRC. Please return
the new study material. We will use  different materials for the last two
Classes. Lunch Laura and Gary.

 

CADETS

The Prinsburg Cadets will be going bowling this Wednesday night, April 16th. We will leave from the 1st CRC parking lot at 6:30pm and arrive back in Prinsburg around 9:00.

 

CMCS Spring Play "Headin' For A Weddin'"

Performances are Friday, April 18, at 7:00pm and Saturday, April 19 at 1:30pm and 7:00pm in the CMCS high school gym.   Advance tickets are available at the high school office. Tickets are $6.00 for adults, $4.00 for K-12 students with preschool and younger free. 

 

Organ Concert & Workshop

Dr. Robert Horton, Director of Keyboard Studies at Dordt College, will present an organ concert at First CRC on Friday, April 18, at 7:30 PM.   A free-will offering will be received, and refreshments will follow the concert.  Everyone is invited.

On Saturday, April 19,  from 10am to noon, Dr. Horton will lead an organ workshop designed for the average church organist.  It will be geared to the needs of those attending, including suggestions about repertoire.  There is a $20 registration fee. Pre-registration is recommended but not required.  To pre-register or for further information, please call Barb.

 

Music Recital

On Sunday, April 20, at 7:30 pm, Paul, Daniel, and Pam Knapper will present a recital consisting of vocal, piano, and violin music at the Emden Christian Reformed Church in Renville. Proceeds will benefit the piano fund.

 

GEMS Banquet

The GEMS annual Spring Banquet will be Wednesday, April 23 at 6:30 p.m. in the 1st Prinsburg CRC basement. Mothers and Grandmothers are invited to join the girls as we celebrate what God has done through the GEMS program this year!

 

Wills & Estate Planning

Senior Citizens and Others

On Saturday, May 3rd we hope to go to the Gospel Quartet Convention in Minneapolis. The cost would be approximately $35.00 per person which includes the bus and the ticket. 

On Saturday, May 10th we plan to attend  “Church Basement Ladies - Second Helping” the sequel to “Church Basement Ladies”. The cost is approximately $64.00 per person for the bus, play and dinner at the Old Country Buffet. Call Ardy as soon as possible!

 

Cancer Survivor Reunion

All cancer survivors in Kandiyohi County are invited to attend a reunion at the Willmar American Legion on Tuesday, April 22. The event will begin at 5:30pm and include dinner and entertainment. If you are a cancer survivor, please consider this a personal invitation to attend. If you have a friend or family member who is a survivor, please invite them to attend with you. Dinner is free for survivors and $10.00 for guests. RSVP by April 12th to Sandy Seydel.

 

Relay for Life 2008

The 15th Annual Kandiyohi County Relay for Life event will be held at the Willmar Jr. High track on July 25 & 26, 2008. Relay for Life is an event designed to celebrate cancer survivors, remember those whose lives have been lost to this disease, and raise money for research and programs offered through the American Cancer Society.  If you would like information about being on a team contact Vicki Dew.
