What we believe:

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God and inerrant in the original writings. We believe that there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

We believe that the lost and sinful man must be saved, and that man’s only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. We believe in and practice the holy ordinance of water baptism – to covenant children presented by believing parents and to adults making their initial commitment to Jesus Christ by faith – all of which signifies the believer’s death, burial, and resurrection into new life with Christ Jesus, and the regular celebration of Holy Communion as commanded by our Lord.

We believe in the present ministry and sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life. We believe in the resurrection of all at the end of time – those trusting in Christ ushered into life forever in God’s presence and those rejecting Christ cast away from the presence of God forever.

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, expressed through the gathering of faith communities throughout the world, of varying sizes and across every tribe, language, and people – where the Lordship of Jesus Christ is central, His Word presented in life-giving manner, sacraments celebrated, and fellowship expressed in love.

Ministry Teams:

Our model of leadership at Unity is one of biblically-based, Spirit-gifted leadership selection of pastor, elders, deacons, administrator, and treasurer which comprise the full Church Council, with delegated authority and responsibilities to ministry teams throughout the church body. The teams collaborate with the leadership to provide care, compassion, direction, and instruction for church life and beyond.

Church Council Leadership

Shepherding Elders Team: The five Shepherding Elders, with the assistance of the Senior Pastor, provide spiritual care and direction for church and daily life for the Unity family, oversight of all matters related to worship, the work of the pastor, along with the small group and safe church ministries of the church.

Service Deacons Team: The four Service Deacons provide vision and direction for all matters related to stewarding of resources, compassion through benevolence, and fiscal management of church life.

Admin Team: Two Admin Elders and two Admin Deacons, along with the Administrator serve on the Admin Team. The Senior Pastor and Church Treasurer are non-voting members. The church is currently served by one full-time Senior Pastor, one full-time Administrative Assistant, one full-time Youth Pastor (in a shared ministry with one of our sister churches in the area), a part-time Treasurer (volunteer position), and a part-time Church Administrator (volunteer position). The church also employs part-time custodial staff and a part-time grounds-keeping staff.
