MORNING WORSHIP

Scripture Reading: I Kings 11:1-13; Ecclesiastes 12:9-14
Message: “Solomon: Wisdom's Folly - Is That All There Is?” (Pastor Steve)
Lead Worshiper: Bryan DeGroot & the Praise Team
Offering: Unity Ministries

Welcome to Unity Church!

The Lord be with you and grant you mercy and wisdom as you seek His face today in corporate worship! Let your worship be in Spirit and truth!

Baptism: This morning we celebrate the touch of God in baptism on the life of Elias Matthew Groen, infant son of Chad & Heather Groen. Join us as we give thanks this day for the love and faithfulness of our God and the life He grants His children!

We conclude our look at the life of Solomon this morning by reflecting on his writings in Ecclesiastes. Solomon’s most important discovery happens when he comes to terms with all the indulgences of life and their emptiness in light of the purpose and plan God has for our lives. Do you ever ask yourself, “Is that all there is?” when considering your life’s purpose? Many do. Solomon did. The conclusion of the matter holds the key to purpose in life and contentment in all situations. Learn God’s answer to that question this morning!

MORNING WORSHIP

Let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance--for understanding proverbs and parables, the sayings and riddles of the wise. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge. Proverbs 1:5-7

Welcome to Unity Church!

May you experience both the communion of the saints and communion with the Lord today, with His grace and love flowing freely amongst us! May your body, soul, mind, and strength be free to give all glory and honor to the King of kings and Lord of lords!

Our study in the Old Testament Challenge (OTC) takes us next into the life and times of King Solomon. Today we will look at Solomon’s rise to power, his powerful prayer, and the power of his words as he championed and exemplified the pursuit of wisdom. In the two weeks to come, we will study more of his writings, his departure from wisdom, and his final return to wisdom at the end of his life.

Today we join together in communion celebration of our Lord’s death and resurrection. May each heart find joy and freedom in coming to the table, repentant of sin and a heart committed to Jesus Christ, through His grace, healing, and restoration.
